Vietnam is an amazing country!
There are towns and cities buzzing with energy, and there are remote farming villages, sleepy and tranquil, where daily activities are determined by the time of year. You can find mountain villages, where ethnic minorities people still wear their traditional clothing, and try to earn a living by guiding tourists and/or selling handicraft.
And then there are the markets, colourful and busy – a meeting place for young and old, and high on the list of things to do for many visitors.
Big cities like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City are best explored on foot, yes it is tiring, but you are sure to discover some gems. Photo opportunities abound, and there are quite a few small companies which offer walking tours with guide, as well as 1/2 day and full day tours by scooter – and the street food is pretty tasty, so no excuse to go hungry!
Vietnam is also a developing country, and at times it can be a little challenging for tourists, but persevere, and you’ll be rewarded with lasting memories of your stay in this beautiful country and it’s welcoming people.
